Google understands a map. If you want your website to rank higher in google search, give it something it understands. Now, it might sound confusing at first but don’t get discouraged! It’s super easy to do and can be right on your contact page.

  1. Go to google maps and put it your address (this can even be a PO box)
  2. When the map appears, click on the Share icon.
  3. Select the Embed tab on the Share window.
  4. Click on Copy HTML.
  5. Copy your HTML code into an Embedder Code Injector on your website. (On platforms like Squarespace this looks like </> code)

Backlinks

Google wants to boost your website. It does this best through keywords and you being the “go-to” place for information. Basically, backlinks are links from one page to another (could be linking your specialty pages on a blog post or your website from a podcast interview). They more these are used by clients, the more google sees you as an authority for the information on the linked page (like your specialties). A great way to get more backlinks is to collaborate with other small business, do interviews, or ghost write for other platforms.
